1. Set and enforce boundaries with your job. Refrain from checking emails, venting about co workers and clients, and driving by your office. Remind yourself that taking time away from work enhances your performance and can help prevent burn out.
2. Prioritize self care. Go to bed early and give yourself permission to catch up on sleep. Eat nutritionally balanced meals, and strive to drink at least 9 glasses of water. Wear comfortable clothes, diffuse your favorite scents and listen to relaxing music.
3. Find fun, meaningful ways to get moving. Exercise reduces muscle tension, and promotes happiness. Yoga, kickboxing and dancing are great ways to stay active and tame stress.
4. Get organized. Clean out your car, make a to do list for the week, declutter your closet. Getting organized can help you achieve more in less time and can promote calm and relaxation in your home.
5. Spend time with loved ones. Catch up with people who inspire and energize you. Set boundaries with people who drain your energy and leave you feeling emotionally depleted.
